In South Africa, we celebrate the start of Spring on 1 September. This year, the weather actually played along in the Cape, as the sun is out, the flowers are blooming, and - of course, the true way to tell if Spring has arrived - my allergies are playing up again. So yesterday I decided that it was time for some seasonal nail art. I was inspired by the vintage floral nail art I did sometime last year, but wanted to do something a little fresher and more modern. After browsing on Pinterest for inspiration, I decided on this.
The base colour for this mani is "Cha Cha Cha" by Tip Top. The polka dots are in "Snow Me White" by Sinful Colors.
For the roses, I first dotted on the base colour, "Melting Marshmellow" by Tip Top, using a large dotting tool. Once that was dry, I added the petal detail using "Pot O' Berries" by Tip Top using a small dotting tool. The leaves are in "The Green and The Grunge" by Essence, also using a small dotting tool. The whole thing was then sealed using a generous coat of Sally Hansen's InstaDri Top Coat.
