My Morning Skincare Routine

1. Bioderma Sensibio H2O

This is the first product I use after my morning shower, just to gently cleanse my skin. I find using it after my shower is very effective, as the warm water and steam have opened my pores to allow better cleansing.

2. Clarins Extra-Comfort Toning Lotion

This is a new addition to my routine but I love it already. This is an alcohol free toner aimed at dry or sensitized skin and makes my skin feel simultaneously clean and soothed.

3. Indeed Labs Hydraluron

I've been using this tube of Hydraluron twice daily since I first got it 3 months ago and there's still a healthy amount of product in there, so it's actually turning out to be good value for money. I have noticed a huge improvement in my skin's appearance since I started using this. It provides below-surface moisture and really helps my skin absorb my moisturizer better.

4. Elizabeth Arden Gentle Hydrating Creme

A great moisturizer for dry skin. Sinks in well and leaves my skin soft and hydrated throughout the day. One of the better moisturizers I've tried (and I've tried a lot). It also has an SPF of 15, but with the amount of UV radiation we all get exposed to daily, your moisturizer's SPF is never going to really do the job so I finish off with...

5. Garnier Ambre Solaire SPF 50+

A must! The sun here is no joke and if you've got pale, sun-sensitive skin like me, this is a good facial sun protection cream to try. It protects against UVA and UVB. It's also hypoallergenic and fragrance free. It is, however, quite a thick, heavy cream so I don't think it would be good for oily skins. Also - don't forget to apply your "face" sun protection all the way down to your boobs! Don't forget how delicate the skin of your neck and decolletage is!

  1. I should try one of these... All of a sudden I have this horrible little bumps on my forehead - Can it be the heat/changing climate? Don't know, but I just want them gone. Great review of great products! xoxo

    1. It could very possibly be the change in climate - the weather tends to freak my skin out as well! Maybe try a gentle chemical or enzymatic exfoliator together with light cleanser and moisturizer?
