Recent Adventures, Part 4

The last couple of weeks have been insanely busy: lots of working hard, but also a bit of playing hard! I thought I'd share a few of the highlights, through a selection of Instagram photos.

Time for the last adventure of the weekend! We had a bit of a lie-in after our night of dancing and drinking before heading off to Melissa's in Stellenbosch for a good brunch(to better prepare ourselves for more drinking!). I had a cup of thick, rich hot chocolate, together with possibly the best croque monsieur I've ever had...

It was a fabulous morning, dampened only by the fact that Instagram was down, so I could take photos but not upload them yet. *Sigh* First world problems...

We then made our way out of town to go wine-tasting. Our first stop was at Waterford, where we enjoyed eight of their wines, three of which were paired with chocolate. The weather was moody and overcast: just perfect for sitting indoors with a glass of wine, relaxing with friends!

We then made our way to Dornier, where we were treated to a few more wines. Our hostess was friendly and bubbly, and helped us choose some really enjoyable wines, allowing us to compare different styles and varieties.

After all the festivities, the day drew to a close, and I had to say my farewells as I went to Durbanville for the night.

PS If you're reading this blog post and are based in the greater Stellenbosch area, what estates would you recommend visiting?
